Child Therapy in Kelowna at Beam Health

Childhood is a time of immense growth, but it can also be a time when children experience big emotions, life transitions, or overwhelming events that they don't yet have the words to describe. Child therapy is for any family noticing their little one struggling with anxiety, behavioural changes, grief, or the after-effects of a difficult experience.

Because play is the natural language of children, we use Play Therapy and Sandtray work to allow children to process their internal worlds in a way that feels safe and intuitive. For children navigating the impact of significant life events, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based treatment for PTSD and trauma can be incorporated.
