Perimenopause + Menopause

Because you deserve to feel like yourself, through every stage of womanhood.

Perimenopause and menopause aren’t just about hot flashes and skipped periods. They can affect your mood, memory, sleep, energy, skin, metabolism, and more. And yet many women are told to “just wait it out” or accept feeling off.

At Beam Health, we approach this transition with curiosity, compassion, and clinical tools to help you feel grounded and in control, not dismissed or overwhelmed.

Our Naturopathic Approach to Menopause & Perimenopause

We get it: perimenopause and menopause don’t always look like what you were told to expect. These hormonal shifts can be subtle, messy, and hard to pin down. And in conventional care, they’re often minimized or overlooked altogether.

At Beam Health, we take a functional, whole-person approach to this transition. We explore how your hormones, thyroid, gut, blood sugar, and nervous system, all influence your hormone balance—so we can help you feel like yourself again.

Our treatment plans are individualized and include:

  • Comprehensive assessment (intake, history, blood work)

  • Targeted nutrition and dietary recommendations

  • Realistic movement/exercise plan

  • Individualized supplementation or pharmaceuticals or hormone replacement therapy

Counselling for Menopause

Clinical Counselling can support your nervous system and emotional well-being during this transition. As part of your care team at Beam, Clinical counselling can provide a dedicated space to navigate the psychological effects of this stage. We use somatic tools to learn to regulate your nervous system and process the complex emotions that often surface during this change. By integrating emotional processing with your naturopathic treatment, we work together to ensure you feel grounded, resilient, and empowered. We can focus on:

  • Nervous System Regulation: Managing the feelings of anxiety and irritability through somatic tools

  • Identity Reframing: Addressing the shift in how you see yourself, your career, and your relationships

  • Grief and Acceptance: Processing the biological transition and honouring the wisdom within you.

Acupuncture for Menopause

Acupuncture can be a valuable support during hormonal transitions such as perimenopause and menopause, when fluctuations in estrogen and progesterone can affect sleep, temperature regulation, mood, and energy.

Treatments focus on calming the nervous system, improving circulation, and supporting the body’s ability to adapt to change.

Acupuncture is commonly used to help manage hot flashes, night sweats, irritability, brain fog, and fatigue, while also supporting overall wellbeing and quality of life during this stage.
