Hi, I’m Josée Jarratt
Josée is a Clinical Counsellor and Registered Social Worker based in Kelowna, BC. She believes that healing is rooted in connection; the connection we rebuild with ourselves, and the connection we have with others. When you are navigating trauma, grief, or the heavy weight of burnout, it can feel like your body has become an unfamiliar or even unsafe place to be. Josée’s goal is to help you rediscover the strengths and skills already within you, providing a non-judgmental space to process emotions and reclaim your sense of self.
A holistic approach to your healing journey
Josée practices from a place of deep curiosity and an understanding that you know yourself best. Whether you are navigating complex emotions, burnout, an identity shift, or relationship struggles, Josée provides the space to process what is happening beneath the surface.
Josée specializes in working with children (ages 5+), parents, and individuals navigating the complexities of trauma, grief, and nervous system dysregulation. She is deeply committed to helping families thrive, whether that means helping a child find their voice through play or supporting a parent through the challenges of family dynamics. Her approach is always compassionate, grounded, and focused on creating a safe environment for everyone.
Josée’s work is rooted in evidence-based therapies, always utilizing a person-centered and trauma-informed framework. She uses an integrated approach that draws on both cognitive and somatic (body-based) practices to help you learn to listen to and regulate your nervous system. Her specialized training includes Play Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for children, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Attachment Based Family Therapy (ABFT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Josée is also informed in Parts Work and Somatic Work, helping you learn to listen to and regulate your nervous system.
Josée fully embraces the Okanagan lifestyle to stay grounded. You’ll often find her hiking local trails with her husband, their baby, and their dog or soaking up the sunshine.
As a yoga and group fitness instructor, she is passionate about movement. When she isn’t teaching or taking a class, she loves trying out new fitness styles to stay energized and inspired.
