Hi, I’m Dr. Alex Lucyshen

Dr. Alex is passionate about helping women feel confident, supported, and in control of their health. Her own experiences with hormones, skin concerns, and digestive issues inspired her to become a naturopathic doctor and continue to shape the way she practices today. She knows firsthand how discouraging it can be to feel brushed aside or told “everything looks normal” when you know something deeper is going on. That’s why she’s committed to creating a different kind of healthcare experience, where patients feel truly heard, validated, and empowered.

BOOK CONSULT

Naturopathy that uncovers and treats the root cause

In her practice, Dr. Alex focuses on uncovering the root cause behind symptoms and helping her patients connect the dots so they can better understand their bodies. She blends functional testing, clinical experience, and individualized treatment plans to move beyond symptom management and toward lasting solutions. Her areas of focus include women’s reproductive health (fertility, PMS, endometriosis, PCOS, PMDD, preconception, and perinatal care), skin health (acne, eczema, vitiligo, psoriasis), thyroid conditions, and concerns such as stress, fatigue, and anxiety.

Dr. Alex completed her BSc in Biology in Winnipeg, MB, before earning her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, ON. She began her career in 2020 at a busy integrative family practice in Winnipeg and has since made the transition to the Okanagan, where she co-founded BEAM Health with Dr. Brit Watters. She is excited to call Kelowna home and to bring her passion for women’s health to the community.

When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Alex embraces the Okanagan lifestyle. Walking her dog Freya, hiking local trails, or starting her day with an iced matcha latte by the lake. She has recently taken up a love of spending time in the kitchen making jam, roasting granola, and pickling veggies, always with a bowl of olives nearby (her not-so-secret obsession).

Pilates is her go-to for movement, and she treasures the simple rituals that keep her grounded, energized, and able to show up fully for her patients.
